LEAD ILLUSTRATOR

I was Lead Illustrator for the sets used in a McDonald’s Happy Meal commercial with a Roald Dahl tie-in. The illustrations were done in the style of Quentin Blake, the illustrator for much of Dahl’s work, and featured beloved vignettes like the Twit’s house.

Ink and watercolor illustrations were meticulously cut out by hand and arranged in space to create a layered, magical, 3-dimensional set.

To create the final animated commercial, a motion controlled camera recorded movement through the set and animated 2D characters were added in post-production.
