LUCY RAVEN “Kongreto”

Video artist Lucy Raven invited me to create miniature sets for an art project entitled “Kongkreto” that engages the history of the U.S. Clark Air Base in the Philippines that was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Pinatubo.

Two sets represented a micro and macro view of Clark air Base and the terrain leading to the volcano.  I sculpted blue foam landscapes and developed a scenic treatment to represent the lahars that flowed from the volcano and engulfed the base.
