FOOD

PAINTER & SCULPTOR

  • A “Bread Dog” puppet. I sculpted the various rolls, loaves, olives, etc., and painted the cast pieces. (McDonald’s Happy Meal commercial with a Tom & Jerry tie-in. Production company: Hornet, Director: Peter Sluszka)

  • A hyper-realistic apple was needed to stand up under the hot lights of a stop-motion animation set. I hand-painted the surface treatment of this plastic cast from an actual apple. (McDonald’s “Always Working” commercial. Production company: Hornet, Director: Yves Geleyn)

  • Realistic croissants were required for a drug commercial illustrating high-fat foods opening to reveal low-fat foods (shown here with a styrofoam stand-in for a healthy roll. I airbrushed plastic casts of actual croissants to emulate perfectly golden pastry flakes, and sculpted the prototype for the cast plastic pats of butter. (GlaxoSmithKline Alli commercial. Bob Partington Studio)

  • I sculpted and painted this “Diva” avocado meant to embody the temperamental nature of the perfectly ripe avocado. (Commercial pitch. Production company: Hornet, Director: Peter Sluszka)
